You can't sue over a FERPA violation.

The Supreme Court ruled that students and parents may not sue for damages under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to enforce provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
June 20, 2002, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Gonzaga University v. John Doe. Do you find this valuable?
